Company Profile

Upstate HomeCare opened its doors in Utica, NY, as a home medical equipment and oxygen provider in 1985. Since then, Upstate HomeCare has developed into a leading regional provider of Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, Enteral, CPAP/BiPAP and Respiratory Therapy Services.

Upstate HomeCare provides all patients, regardless of the service or product they are receiving, access to on-call personnel consisting of drivers/technicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and administrators, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in each of our locations and services areas.

We serve a very diverse geographic area in both size and setting. We service patients in remote and rural areas as well as urban and densely populated cities. We adapt our services to the needs of the patient by viewing each patient as an individual with specific needs. We also evaluate a patient’s suitability for home equipment/therapy services based in part on a patient’s level of caregiver support, whether from family or private sources.

Our policies & procedures incorporate and draw from standards set forth by the State Department of Health, ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care), State Board of Pharmacy, National Home Infusion Association, New York Medical Equipment Providers, American Association for Homecare, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other regulatory and clinical best practices.

All the services we provide are carried out in accordance with Federal, State and local laws and established regulatory guidelines as dictated by the New York State Board of Pharmacy, New York State Department of Health, New York State Nurse Practice Act, professional associations and established standards of care.

Upstate HomeCare is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for compliance with a comprehensive set of standards. ACHC is a third-party accreditation organization that has developed the highest national standards that providers are measured against in order to illustrate their ability to effectively and efficiently deliver quality healthcare products and services to consumers.
